#399; M.A.C Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20

First up, I want to wish my Muslim readers, if any, Happy Hari Raya!
Having said that, here is a new review on the M.A.C Pro Longwear Concealer that I have purchased in my recent trip to KL.
I am in the midst of posting up all my photos of the trip to my Instagram account @amandamisaki so do give me a follow there if you're keen to see what I have bought :p

The MAC Pro Longwear Concealer have been on my wishlist for quite some time but I never gotten around to purchasing it in Singapore because I still had my Candy Doll Concealer. I only ran out of concealer when I was halfway through my stay in KL and I purchase this for RM84.

The MAC Pro Longwear Concealer comes in a black cardboard box, The actual product is contained in a glass packaging with simple labeling, which gives it a more professional look. The top of the cap is matte and is prone to lots of messy finger prints.

The glass packaging houses 9ml of product which is pretty sizable. This also qualifies for MAC Back 2 Mac program which is a really good recycling initiative!

I gotten this in the shade NC20 and they have a pretty wide range of concealer shades to choose from. Do go down to their counters and ask for the MUA assistance because they are definitely super super qualified at assessing the correct shade for you. In case you are wondering, this costs SGD$33 which makes it a little hefty but pretty worth it for an concessional splurge.

Can I just say that this festive season has the BEST packaging?!
A holographic bag and the most elegant prints. This exudes an Arabian nights vibe.

The MAC Pro Longwear concealer is dispensed via a push pump which makes it really hygienic. My only qualms with it? The push pump is a little difficult to push and may dispense too much product, resulting in a lot of wastage. My mum, an avid MAC fan, also has problems with the product being stuck when you're almost done with the tube.

All in all, that 9ml you are paying for, doesn't sounds like too much of a bargain with so much wastage. I am hoping that MAC will change their packaging soon.

Lucky for you guys, I am down with a lot of break outs and pimple scars because I was so stressed from school. This is a half face photo of my huge pimple scars.

And that eyebag game be strong.
All in all, I just look hideous without my face makeup.

Trying to dispense a little product for my face.
The MAC Pro Longwear Concealer is of the right consistency to allow for buildable coverage and is absorbed into my face pretty quickly with a few light pats of my fingertips.

I am in the shade NC20 but to be on the safe side, do go to your nearest MAC counter for help on your skin tone because they have NCs and NWs.

This is the photo after concealer and a little powder is used to set my makeup. The coverage is pretty decent. Being able to conceal small pimples and scars. However, if you have flaky skin from the pimple, this is not going to help you cover that unsightly skin. I find that this concealer is able to hide my under eye dark circles pretty well too.

The finish look is a dewy very natural finish. Do blend well or it will appear patchy and cakey.
I like to set my makeup with a matte powder so the concealer is less likely to streak when I sweat.
I like that this also lasts pretty long for me, with minimal fading in the fifth hour of wear and almost lasting a full 8-9 hours if I am in an aircon room. End of the day, although the concealer may fade from my pimple scars, they do conceal redness of the pimple pretty well and I like it.

Do I think it is worth the splurge? Yep! This concealer definitely works better if you are one to always stay in an air-conditioned room. It is not too oily and doesn't cause break outs on me. Just to clarify, that nasty bout of break out is a result of stress... and road trips.

What is your take on this? Let me know down below and have a good long weekend ahead!
