#417; Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Santa Ana

Doesn't it feel like every makeup company is coming up with their brand of liquid lipstick?!
After reviewing Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip, I was scrolling through Instagram when I came across this gorgeous shade from Ofra and knew I had to get it.

This costs me about SGD$25 and I bought it from Carousell.
Packaged in a sleek black box with a window where you can see the gorgeous shade.

I was pretty taken aback when I first unwrapped the Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick because it was so small! This fits perfectly into tiny purse and is shorter as compared to the Colourpop Ultra Matte. However, the two brands contain almost the same amount of product.

The Ofra liquid lipstick has a matte top and the brand is printed around the edge of the tube. As for the shade name, it was printed on a transparent sticker and stuck to the packaging.
For some reason, I don't like the whole "sticker" deal. It looks a bit cheap to me because you can see where the edges of the sticker is.

I also understand that it would cost a bomb to print the shade name on each individual tube. But at least make a small round sticker to be affixed at the bottom and leave the tube bare? But that's my two cents about the packaging.

The applicator is the standard doe foot applicator, making it really easy to apply to the inner corner of my lips.
I find that it is very easy to manipulate the wand.

It has a mild scent which I cannot place, however, it is pleasant and not overpowering. It fades away after awhile.

Ofra Santa Ana is a beautiful raspberry shade that has hints of muted reds and pinks. I really love the color and couldn't find any liquid lipstick or even lipstick that could come close to this when worn.
Upon swatching, it dries pretty fast. It has more of a cream consistency than liquid and reminds me of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. However, this feels thicker than the Nyx SMLC but still soft and pliable.

Under strong lighting, the Ofra Santa Ana looks gorgeous. It does not appear very bright but is vibrant enough to wear it through fall and all year round. Application was easy and one swipe was enough to cover the whole lips because the cream formulation is pigmented.

One thing I realise is that the tip of the doe foot applicator tend to pick up a bit too much sometimes. So I recommend starting from the middle of the lips and working your way outwards.
The Ofra Santa Ana lives up to its claim of being a long lasting liquid lipstick although I won't necessarily call it a liquid lipstick.
This lasts longer than Nyx SMLC and requires no touch up whatsoever even after meals. Something that even the Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip falls short at times.

The Ofra Santa Ana is pretty waterproof but not transfer proof.
Which means it is bound to transfer to straws, cups, fork and spoon.
Strangely enough, it doesn't require much touch up after a heavy meal and I attribute it to the fact that it leaves a nice raspberry stain which isn't patchy.

The cream consistency of the Ofra Santa Ana also doesn't dry out my lips like other liquid lipsticks and I feel like I don't have to wear a lip balm because it doesn't accentuate my lip lines.

Overall, would I repurchase the Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Santa Ana?
For the color, the texture and the fact that it doesn't dry out my lips. This is something that can potentially become a HG product. But sadly, being non-transfer proof is something I am a little concerned about. That being said, you can't have everything being perfect.

I would definitely recommend the Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Santa Ana for people who loves shades like these. Or if you're just finding something a bit fun to wear but don't want a solid bold red, this is perfect. I would definitely want to try the rest of the Ofra Liquid lipstick line. :p
