#423; Mane 'n Tail

Readers of my blog will know that my hair is absolutely the worst.
Like I have really frizzy and untameable hair that most good shampoo can do nothing for. Most shampoos I have used just helps to clean my scalp but does nothing to improve the lower ends of my hair where the damage is most evident. But imagine if a shampoo and conditioner can do just that. Clean your scalp out plus condition your frizz to a beautifully manageable one.

As the wise Pablo Picasso said.
And so... Introducing the Mane 'n Tail shampoo that is designed to meet your wildest imagination.

The Mane 'n Tail range of shampoo has won awards.
I've seen these in Watsons but were skeptical because by all honesty, they legit look like horse or pet shampoo.

This is Mane 'n Tail brand story and it's interesting to know that you will be using show horses shampoo. Even on their Original shampoo and conditioner bottle, there are mentions of how the formula can be used on both horse and humans. *lets out inner horse*

In retail stores (listed in the card above), there are four formula to choose from: Original, Herbal-Gro, Deep Moisturizing and Gentle Cleansing & Replenishing.
However, if you shop online at their e-store, there is an extra formula to choose from: anti-dandruff. Which imo, is super important.

But what's all these talk without some before and after.
Here is before. Yes, I've chopped it shorter and gave it a new color!

Onto the first shampoo that I've tried out.
The creative marketing factor is a point to admire. I mean look at that mane *wink*
This is their original shampoo and conditioner formula.

This card provides an in-depth explanation to the benefits of the Original formula which includes preventing split ends and cleansing your scalps without stripping away your hair natural oil.

The shampoo is a pearly white liquid consistency while the conditioner is a pastel yellow cream consistency. Having used this duo for two days, I can honestly say that this really cleanses my scalp. Like I feel like I don't have to wash my hair everyday, I am sorry I am gross.
However, I feel that this does not really tame the frizz I have on the lower end of my hair.

This is the Herbal-Gro range!

This formula is advertised as a means to prevent breakage, frizz and split ends and has olive oil to nourish the hair from the root to tip. After using this, I feel that it effectively leaves my hair clean and soft but again, do not tackle my frizz issues.

This is the Mane 'n Tail Deep Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner!

The Deep Moisturizing formula provides the needed proteins and vitamins to strengthen your hair and cleans and conditions your hair. I am super attracted to the words "Deep Moisturizing".

As before, the shampoo is a pearly blue (below) while the conditioner is pastel blue (top).
Using the Deep Moisturizing shampoo for two days, I really like how I wake up the next day with super soft manageable hair. When I run my hands through my hair, I feel hardly any tangle and I like how moisturize it really feels and its not the weird moist feeling your hair gets when you don't wash it for three days. I don't feel my hair being this moisturized with any other shampoo. In fact, I don't feel that way with any shampoo.

This is the after photo of the Deep Moisturizing.
I think the combination of Original to effectively clean the scalp plus deep moisturizing to tame MOST but not all of the frizz is the best combination.

It may also be because I am using three types of different shampoo and conditioner in a short span of time. Thus, I am judging them based on the shortest time to display their efficacy. In this case, the deep moisturizing shampoo and conditioner won me over because of my next morning beautifully smooth bed hair.

Like this is my hair after the first usage of the deep moisturizing shampoo and conditioner so I am actually amazed. I am going to consistently use this for a week and monitor my progress.

Considering I just got my hair dyed, I think my hair is doing great. Even brushing my hair is now simple with little friction and knots. You can purchase the Mane 'n Tail range at Watsons, Guardian, major cold storage, Robinsons, John Little, BHG or NTUC and the e-store Maimee's Corner. These are S$15.90 each.

If you are interested to try them out before committing to purchase, or are unsure about which range is better suited for your hair, you can go on to Sample Store at this link to redeem free samples

Also, do head over to Mane 'n Tail Facebook Page and give them a "like" as you can potentially win a pair of return air tickets to Hong Kong and many other prizes in the month of January and February! Good Lucccckkk!
