#427; [Review] Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Bronzing Palette

Too Faced are known for their quirky product names and absolutely gorgeous packaging. They are famed for their pigmented eyeshadows and bronzers. And because of that, I knew I had to try one of their bronzers out. Introducing the Bonjour Soleil Limited Edition Bronzing Wardrobe! The packaging is just gorgeous with its white, blue and pink. It reminds me of a summer nautical vacation.

This is no longer available for purchase from Sephora stores. However, the shades that are in this bronzing wardrobe can be bought individually which is great! You can try out the different shades and see which ones are best suited for you. I bought this from Carousell for around SGD$45 and this marks one of my very first bronzers/bronzing palette.

Inside the bronzing palette, you get a small mirror, three different shades of bronzer and a flat kabuki brush for application.
I gotten this quite a while back and have used this quite a fair bit since I have gotten it.

As with all Too Faced product, there is a guide on how to apply the bronzer for the best sculpted look. But in my case, I would just apply any where and in any fashion that I feel like :x #notamakeupartist

The flat kabuki brush is a joy to bring around and helps pick up enough product and blends the bronzer fairly well. Only qualm is that it cannot give a very defined look compared to a sculpted contour brush but it does its job well so I would say it is good enough!

It is also very soft and retains its shape even after use/cleaning.

Sorry for the bad stitching but I wanted to show you the individual shades in this bronzing palette.
The first shade is their best seller, the Chocolate Soleil which is a matte bronzer. The middle shade is the sun bunny which is a natural bronzer and the last shade in the palette is snow bunny which is a luminous bronzer.

The bronzers have a chocolate scent which is what Too Faced is proud of~
However the scent isn't too overwhelming and doesn't linger after application.

These are the swatches of the Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Bronzing Palette. I labelled them accordingly. [R-L] Chocolate Soleil took four swipes to build up intensity and is matte. Sun Bunny has slight shimmer in it but is true to description as it gives a natural glow, The first swatch of sun bunny consists of the two individual shades while the second swatch is of them combined. Same applies to snow bunny. Snow bunny has a slight pink in it and would make an excellent highlighting shade instead of a bronzing one. In fact, in the palette, the color scheme reminds me of a Neapolitan ice cream.

This is me without the bronzer. I have a very round shape face and most bronzer do nothing to conceal/change my face shape.

In the midst of application. I use Chocolate Soleil and Sun Bunny predominantly.

This is after bronzing. And yes, I changed my lipstick shade :x
But anyway there is minimal changes in my face shape after bronzing, I would say that is is more oval than round. As for the bronzer, it is pretty pigmented on my face and blends fairly well. It gives a very natural look although it can be layered on, to give a tanner appearance. For reference, I am a NC35 so I would think that this would hardly show up on girls with darker skin tone!

Having said that, the Too Faced Bonjour Soleil palette is a beautiful palette to have. It is also pretty economical as you can try out three of their bronzing shades and choose to purchase the one that works best for you. If I had to pick a favorite shade, I would choose sun bunny because I like the slight shimmer in it. The packaging is also very pretty and protects the bronzers from cracking while in your travel bag. Having said that, it is not very travel friendly because of how bulky it is and I found that the lid is pretty loose as it is a magnetic clasp.

I would repurchase the Sun Bunny as it is a good bronzing shade for my skin tone and is pigmented enough to work with.

The individual Too Faced bronzing shades can be purchased at Sephora and retails for around the SGD$50 price range!
