#434; NYX Ombre Blush in Strictly Chic

NYX Cosmetics has sure stepped up their game and you can see their Sephora counters looking sleek af. Here are the recent hauls I've made from the brand and I will be reviewing all of them progressively, through the months of April and May. Some of these items are super difficult to find but can be purchased through the Sephora online store while the NYX Lip Lingerie have yet to be launched in Singapore at the time of this post!

Today's main focus will be on the NYX Ombre Blush and I got mine in the shade Strictly Chic. These retails for SGD$18 and as soon as they launched, I gotten myself this beautiful Ombre Blush because it reminded me so much of MAC Ombre Blushers which were expensiveeee.

The NYX Ombre Blush come packaged in a sleek black plastic round compact that feels sturdy.
It is also pretty thin as compared to MAC blushers. These are a little bigger than normal blush pans and I think it is due to the "ombre". For $18 you are getting 8g of product which is pretty affordable. I actually never really hit the pan on most of my blusher because I have quite a few and I never bring blushers for touch up as it is a little bit of a hassle.

The NYX Ombre Blush in Strictly Chic is a beautiful peachy tone blusher that gives a very chic and soft flush. It looks a little brown in the pan but is actually a very nude peach that is elegant. The top part of the "ombre" is a shimmer peach that matches very well with its "darker" peach tone below. For this ombre blush, it is not exactly a very obvious ombre but the other blushers are much more obvious.

It has slight shimmer that illuminates the face but isn't chunky. I love this a lot because it adds a little glow to your cheeks. Can we also squeal about the fact that this blusher pan comes with its own mirror for application and touch up?

Here is the swatch of the blush pan.
The very top is a slight shimmer that does not really show up on swatch while the second swatch is that of the bottom part of the ombre blush pan itself.
The third swatch, the last on the bottom is that of the top to bottom of the blush pan. This is the area where you sweep your blush to pick up products and this is the blush shade that is true to what you will see on your face.

As noted, the NYX Ombre Blush in Strictly Chic has some fine glitters that give you this amazing glow and shine without being too chunky. I like that you can choose to swirl your brush on the darker part for a more bold blush look or swipe it from top to bottom for a very soft finish.

This is me without the blush.

This is with the blush.
I can tell you this. I love the NYX Ombre Blush in Strictly Chic. It is a peachy tone to coral blush that gives me this amazing soft glow on my NC30 skin tone. It looks natural and you can build up pigmentation with these babies if you like. This blush fuel my love and want for new blushes and I am almost tempted to get more of the Ombre Blush as well as restocking on this shade because I LOVE THIS.

I find that the formulation of the NYX Ombre Blush in Strictly Chic is buttery smooth and not powdery. It is also pigmented and this is by far the longest staying blusher I have ever used. The MAC blush and the Bare Minerals blush cannot be compared to this. This lasts 6-8 hours and usually blushers just "disappear" after the third hour of wear on me.

I swear if NYX ever discontinues the Strictly Chic Ombre Blush, I will protest.
You can purchase this as well as other shades of the Ombre Blush collection at Sephora for SGD$18!
Go try it out because I promise you won't be disappointed at the quality of these.
